OK, after reading the reviews, you might get a little worried about buying this. My son and I LOVE this rocket. In fact, we just did a little Hydrogen explanation and test fire for his entire 1st grade class. They LOVED it. Here's what we like:

Rocket goes about 100 feet high. Rubber end ensures it doesn't break on re-entry.

Reusable over and over. No engines to buy. Just wait 3 minutes and you're good to go.

Actually makes Hydrogen fuel, which is kind of cool to show off to the older observers.

Didn't like

Super design by Estes, terrible execution on Chinese manufacturing. Mine didn't work out of the box. I had to take off the screws and solder the battery wire in place!!!! Are you kidding me? Plus the chamber's contacts were not touching so I had to bend them to make it work. No wonder some don't ever work out of the box. Shame on Estes for not controlling the manufacturing process.

The faulty manufacturing aside, this is a big big hit.

Heros Wooden Stacking Blocks 32 Piece Set "Little Town" Review

Don't get me wrong, these are great little blocks, but as the previous reviews state, they ARE expsneive for what you get. However, I love the fact that they are actually MADE in Germany with safe paints and actual regulation. They are brightly colored and lots of fun to build little towns with (my girls are building "castles" with the blocks as I write). The train has magnetic joints on the cars so it actually stays together with the engine!
We purchased the block set last week for $25.00 on Amazon, and just noticed that they increased in price. I wouldn't pay more than the $25 for the set since it IS so little, so watch the prices and get them when they decrease!

This doll 'Jake' Camden Doll - Natural Waldorf Doll is a work of art. He is soft but feels substantial because he's filled with wool. I love that he comes with overalls and a shirt (100% cotton) that he can learn to take on and off. Jake's expensive, and I tried to find a sale but Camden Rose products never go on sale...but this was the best deal I was able to find on a Waldorf doll, which I really wanted. I feel really good about supporting Camden Rose and the cooperative of Peruvian women who made this doll, and I feel great about giving my son a gorgeous doll made of totally natural, non-toxic materials. I can't wait for him to find it under the Christmas tree. He'll be 16 months when he gets this doll.

Lincoln logs are one of the best building toys available. unfortunatly these logs are almost fully prebuilt. This removes quite a bit of the learning experience for the child. Children do not need the toys prebuilt. they should still need to do more than place the pre-built roof on a pre-built home.
