This Lagoona is for the updated 2011 line of girls, which is basically all the "basic" girls from the first wave in cute, updated fashions. Lagoona is definitely one of my favorite girls in this line, and this particular one is just too cute. Her details are amazing. She has nautical-styled rope accessories (her headband and belt), a similar rope-themed necklace, fishbone earrings, a fishnet body stocking that is asymmetrically cut in a cute way (so her fins can poke out, you see) and a really adorable fishscale romper. She has little pink jelly shoes (the shoes on these dolls are always amazing) and as an added treat, her right hand is throwing up the surfer handsign. I also noticed on my version of this doll, her skin has been updated with a new pearlescent type plastic, so it's not just a basic light blue skintone anymore, but she's got a soft shimmer to her now in the right light. Very cute doll, all in all. She also comes with a new updated diary as well.

My only personal complaint is that she comes in the "new" style packaging, which is a huge hassle to get the doll out of without destroying the box. This may or may not matter to you.
