This game absolutely met all my expectations. I and my family can easily adapt the game level play. My sons are 7, 6 and 5 yrs old and they all can play petanque, except we do it at much shorter distances than the official rules. We play it easily in our back yard with no other equipment, but an ordinary measuring tape. Everybody is engaged and it represents a light exercise with lots of fun.
