We bought this toy for my daughter's first birthday. It didn't come with a lot of extras, but we bought fruit and vegetable sets from Melissa & Doug to go with it. By far, this kitchen is one of my daughter's favorite toys. She will be turning 3 years old this fall, and she plays with it almost every day. It may not make a lot of noises or be very interactive, but it is meant to encourage sociodramatic and imaginative play. I love that my daughter makes up her own stories as she is playing with this, and I would recommend this toy to parents of both boys and girls.
