This 267 piece wooden puzzle is of Van Gogh's painting "Bridge in the Rain." He based this work on a print by Japanese artist Hiroshige. Van Gogh wrote in one of his letters, "All my work is based to some extent on Japanese art." This puzzle features Japaense-themed whimsy pieces and puzzle design by Kathryn Flocken (to see example pieces, click on the small photo below the puzzle image). All our puzzles are laser-cut 1/4" wood, and made in USA. This puzzle is packaged in our standard wide pine wood box.

I have many Artifact puzzles and am beginning to know a lot about the various puzzle designers and quality of each puzzle. I really like this one because of the distinct colors, very clear and quite a bit more colorful than they appear online. The puzzle pieces are roundish and pleasant to handle, and the sturdy wood pieces are delightful as ever. The puzzle isn't hard nor easy, just in between - giving enough of a challenge but not frustrating. There are no surprises like in some of the other AP. Just a pleasant feel-good puzzle all around.
