Puzz 3D Venice Review

We are major fans of the 3-D puzzle series. If you've done the Eiffel Tower or the White House ones you know how complex they can be. (But hey, that's why we love them in the first place, isn't it?) Well, 3-D Venice is unbelievably involved and certainly not for the faint of heart. I think it's the most complicated one yet. No child under the age of, say, 11 or 12, would have the organization skills to just get the piles in place at the beginning. Also, for the older person with finger mobility issues or failing eyesight, this would be an impossible puzzle. But, if you are having a particularly snowy winter and are inside alot, then this is for you! Just don't be a newbie to the series. Start with the Eiffel Tower and the graduate to Venice. Once our puzzle of Venice is completed I'll let you know how it compares to the real place, a touch of paradise on Earth. ;-)

Revell 1:24 Kurtis Kraft Racer Model Kit Review

First, I want to thank Revell/Monogram for re-releasing this kit. This is a good model for beginners who want an old race car with steerable wheels. Concidering this was one of Monograms first models, it is actually pretty good. The detail is definately not you would expect for a model made today. I only wish that Revell would have updated the kit. I'm in the process of building this kit now.

This is a bare-bones kit. The "detailed" engine is comprised of two engine halves. Engine engraving is crisp, but the cylinder head/duel overhead valve cover needs to be reworked to be accurate. With some work, it can be made to be a really nice engine. The interior is bare, compared to today's models, containing only a seat, and steering wheel. There is no interior liner, no gas or brake pedals or shifter. The wheels and tires are cast together, so you cannot use different wheels or tires, unless you switch both. The body looks very nice, with only a few details missing (easy to fix). The hood is one piece, and opens from the left side, and not in the middle, as the real car does. The decals look ok, but doesn't really depict a particular car (it comes closest to Roger Ward's car).

Again let me say, that when this car was produced many years ago, this was a great kit. For a quick easy build, this is a nice car. If you are looking for something to give you a challenge, that will produce a really nice piece of history, it has a lot of potential with some work.

Scooby Doo Dog Tag Digital Camera Review

I bought this camera for my 7 year old. We were very disappointed. The pictures all come out dark unless they are taken in very bright light, mostly outside. My other daughter recently got another digital camera by Digital Concepts. It was much cheaper and much better quality.

Skylanders Polycarbonate Hard Shell Luggage Case Review

My son loved the vivid colours on the luggage. The handle and the insides is plastic/polycarbonate and polyester but manufactured to a high quality standard. All parts are solid and the outer shell doesn't easily scratch as some other polycarbonate luggages do. Great luggage for your kids, works perfect as a carry-on for your children's flights.

Little engineers can recreate their favorite Percy stories with this 3-car pack. Jack Frost Percy, Coal Dust Percy and Chocolate-Covered Percy feature unique facial expressions and graphics that come directly from Percy's latest adventures. Pack also includes special character cards featuring each vehicle's unique personality and job on Sodor.

Thomas and Friends: Adventures of Percy 3-Car Pack Review

We have a big Percy, metal Percy, wooden Percy, and Lego Percy. I would have thought that more Percies would have been redundant; and yet my son received this set of Percies and loves it/them.

The benefit, I think, in having these different Percies, is that it makes it easy for the very young to act out the Percy adventures. Seeing the chocolate aids their developing imagination. Either that or they like feeling the icicles on Percy's face. You might also note that another advantage is that if you have more than one child (either resident or visiting) you will have enough Percies to go around :)

Four Stars. Three sturdy Percies for lots of adventure. In this set you get 'coal dust', 'Jack Frost' and delicious 'chocolate' Percy. I'm only giving the set four stars (against my son's wishes) because it's not NECESSARY for train bliss.
