Now, he's also an action figure from DC Direct reoffered to coincide with SMALLVILLE #1! Lex stands approximately 6" tall with 7 points of articulation and comes with a hinged laptop computer emblazoned with the LuthorCorp logo and a LuthorCorp annual report and a collectible trading card from Inkworks featuring a photo of the character. Packaged in a 4-color blister.

Smallville Lex Luthor Figure Review

This product is based on the evil industrialist, Lex Luthor, as portrayed by Michael Rosenbaum in the TV series "Smallville" . It is a "DC-Direct" figure, which means it saw limited distribution, making it nearly impossible to find outside of a specialty shop (i.e. comic store) or online seller. Because of its limited distribution, it usually sells for around $40-$50, if you can find it. Fortunately, I found one for around $26, because the packaging wasn't perfect. Okay, now onward to the product...

This Lex Luthor figure stands about 6" in height and has very limited articulation. On this figure, the only moveable parts are the head, wrists, shoulders, and elbows. The figure unfortunately does not bend in the middle and the legs are permanently spaced about 1-3/4" apart. Included with this figure are a Lex Luthor trading card, LuthorCorp annual report prop, and a LuthorCorp laptop computer (which actually opens and closes). Also, Lex is outfitted in an all-black casual suit and shiny black boots. No, he doesn't have the black glove which he wears later on in the TV series, nor does he have a strong resemblance to the actor Michael Rosenbaum.

Would I recommend this figure? Well, that's a hard question to answer. I'm not sure if I would recommend this figure, because its normally overpriced! This figure is certainly not worth the $40-$50 I see it sell for online. But, if you are a big fan of Smallville, you may want it.

Pros:

- Ability to stand on its own

Cons:

- Very limited articulation
- The figure's head seems to be somewhat large at the top
- Does not come with a stand
