The DC Direct Ame Comi series makes a wonderful addition to the collections of aficionados of action figures/PVC statues.

Female characters are often the most sought after by collectors, so the idea of creating a series which reinvents the female characters of the DC Comics universe in the style of Japanese anime is brilliant. The statues are all beautifully sculpted and imaginatively reinvented, blending two iconic forms of entertainment.

Although an iconic character, Catwoman's outfit has varied over the years, which gives the creators of the Ame Comi series the opportunity to explore different varients of her look. The second Catwoman figure was clearly inspired by the outfit Catwoman wore in the comics in the 70's and 80's, which included a cape, purple breach cloth, and long hair. This figure gives her a wilder, more barbaric look than the more "pin-up" style explored in the first Catwoman figure.
