Star Trek Retro Cloth Sulu Action Figure Review

This is a Star Trek original series figure that Mego never manufactured. I believe it was because an action figure of a Asian male would of been offensive at the time as we were just getting out of the Vietnam war. I had these as a kid back in 1975 and wished they made a figure of him, but now years later they made one in the original "Mego" style packaging and all. They did a great job with these cloth retro figures as they look like the ones manufactured over 40 years ago and even had artwork done by the "Mego" artist that did the illustrations for the packaging for the original "Mego" lineup! They also made a Chekov, and Capt Pike figure as well as reproducing the other classic figures. Fantastic job overall, and they look great next to the original "Mego" Star Trek figures!
