Spiderman Children Back to School Supplies Review

My five year old grandson should really write this review. He could not believe how wonderful the entire Spiderman
collection was. The backpack is large, the supplies are great. He said, there is a big boy notebook and pencils!

Great for Kids. This item is not only a toy, but an educational series of hand painted replicas that reveals history from centuries ago. Manufactured from a high quality vinyl (rubber), this extremely realistic piece is hand-painted, with non-toxic paint, for a natural life-like finish.

Standard-Bearer, Fleur-De-Lis Coat Of Arms, Schleich Review

I purchased this little fellow in Prague after being given the Dragon for Christmas. It's a remarkably detailed piece, with an amazing level of historical accuracy in the armor and armaments of the 14th/15th century. It's made of highly durable plastic, and overall it's rugged enough to withstand the rigors of entertaining youngsters. I bought several other members of the Schleich Knights series for my two nephews, aged 4 and 6, so there is minimal concern that the detachable parts could be dangerous for young children. The pieces come in two opposing camps: the Red Fleur de Lis, and the Blue Lion, and each piece has a corresponding piece in the other, with somewhat different design and graphics. As with all of the Red Fleur de Lis camp, this toy reflects a slightly more antiquated armor than their rival, the Blue Lion, with the Red Camp showing arms and armor of the 12-13th Centuries (typically), and the Blue the arms and armor of the 13-15th. This reflects an impressive variety in styles of armament and armor of the period, and vastly improves the educational value of the series. The level of detail, for this price, is actually quite surprising. Also, it appears some political sensitivity went into the crafting, as the Red Fleur de Lis corresponds more closely to the English armor and weapons of the periods, while the Blue Lion more closely refelcts the French, despite the switched heraldic devices.

Star Trek Retro Cloth Sulu Action Figure Review

This is a Star Trek original series figure that Mego never manufactured. I believe it was because an action figure of a Asian male would of been offensive at the time as we were just getting out of the Vietnam war. I had these as a kid back in 1975 and wished they made a figure of him, but now years later they made one in the original "Mego" style packaging and all. They did a great job with these cloth retro figures as they look like the ones manufactured over 40 years ago and even had artwork done by the "Mego" artist that did the illustrations for the packaging for the original "Mego" lineup! They also made a Chekov, and Capt Pike figure as well as reproducing the other classic figures. Fantastic job overall, and they look great next to the original "Mego" Star Trek figures!

Street Fighter Revolution Series 1 Dhalsim Action Figure Review

This Dhalsim from Sota is greatly detailed and articulated. Although the shoulder joints where you switch the arms for the long ones, can be broken easily if you don't handle it carefully. Besides that is perfect.

Tyco R/C N.S.E.C.T. Robotic Attack Creature - 27 MHz - Green Review

The dang bug runs and closes its jaws but won't shoot darts (just clacks, yes they are pushed in all they way). I don't want to manually glue stuff on there. Web research shows Mattel shipped units with the wrong sized darts (supposed to the the "black ones"). Allegedly Mattel will ship the darts free if you can get hold of them...
