Freddy Krueger A Nightmare on Elm Street 12in Collectors Figure By Sideshow Review

This Freddy Krueger figure may at first strike you as excessively expensive, but bite your tongue, and bite it hard! This figure is ridiculously detailed; when I first took him out of the box, I thought he was going to blink his eyes, shake his head, then start stabbing me with his little glove because he just looked so real. The figure, as said, is 12 inches tall, standing a bit over my customized Maxx FX 1989 Freddy doll. The boots look nice and the pants are an accurate shade of khaki brown. The sweater is good, although it is not at all weathered and there are stripes on the sleeves (like in the sequels), and the rips at the neck, bottom, and sleeves are more like rectangular cuts, though that is easily fixed but cutting off the corners with any pair of scissors. The glove looks very good, and the fingers even move! That's right, the fingers can move, so you can make Freddy point, wave, or even flip you a little bird. The left had looks nice and burnt, like in the movies. And the face... oh, the face... imagine the Dream Master Freddy, that's exactly what this figure's face looks like. His hat looks good, rips on both sides and the back. He comes with no accessories except for, of course, the hat, and a display stand. He is pretty durable, though I would not reccommend giving this to a 3 year old. The fingers could easily break off if not careful, and, well, it's a collector's item, it is not made to be played with although it can be if you play with care. As for articulation, the boots are swivels, calves are swivels, the knees are hinges, the thighs are swivel, the hips are ball jointed, the waist and chest are both ball jointed, shoulders are ball jointed, biceps are swivel, elbows are hinge, wrists are swivel, hands are swivel with hinge, head is ball joint. VERY good figure, and I would say worth up to $300. Thinking about buying the figure? Do it. You will not regret it.
